Day 175: The Blizzard is Over

Well, it seems I survived Snowmageddon/Snowpocalypse/snOMG. I accomplished a few things while I was stuck in the house, but the most important one comes first.

#40: Get the stupid sparkly ball in Wii Bowling. As you can see from the graph above, I've been nudging up against the "pro" level for quite some time now. I normally wouldn't care about such things, but. . .
you get a pretty sparkly ball when you reach the pro level.

Once that was out of the way, my time was cleared for more trivial tasks. I've made good headway into having a presentable office/sewing room. With Cliff's help, I've moved the filing cabinet down to the basement and only kept the most used files on my desk. We also got a small bookshelf (thanks to James and Kate's Christmas gift) to help with organizing. The large bookshelf is now in the hallway and Cliff's desk has been downsized. We hung up a new window shade to spruce up the room (plus the old blinds were broken). There are plans to paint and add a nice comfy chair from Ikea.

Joy of Cooking has been used, but not for many new things. I made the red pepper soup again, as it's yummy on a cold snowy night. However, I did break out the Desserts chapter for Valentine's Day this weekend.I decided to go for something delicious and fabulous and make Creme Brulee. Plus, it gave Cliff the chance to cross something off his list by helping me with the sugar crust.Add in a valentine's day gift from Cliff:
. . .and #3 is in the books too.

The snow messed around with plans to exercise more, particularly at Xpose. However, with roads finally clearing and my routine returning to normal, I should be able to work on those things a little more.
